Opener Remote Control Failed
Customer Issue: Although she had changed the battery, Ms. Chambers still couldn’t get her garage door opener remote control to work no matter what she tried.
Our Solution: Our team disconnected the LiftMaster 8160W garage door opener to be examined, along with the remote control. After completing some testing, we felt the issue had occurred due to a malfunction with the remote control’s sensor. Our professionals repaired it and reinstalled the opener to test the system and confirm that everything now functioned better.
Customer Issue: The customer’s new door was defective, and one of the panels quickly warped out of shape and jammed the mechanism.
Our Solution: After raising the door off its tracks and checking it thoroughly, our team determined that there was no damage to the hinges yet, and only one warped panel. They unscrewed the problem part, installed the replacement, attached new rollers to it, and put the door back in place.
Customer Issue: A motor jam brought this customer’s Chamberlain garage door opener to a literal rattling halt.
Our Solution: Once the opener was unplugged, it was a simple matter of opening it up, replacing the deformed gear and its broken chain, and then reconnecting the unit to the door, and running a few tests. We also checked the springs to ensure they hadn't sustained too much damage during the accident and didn't need to be repaired or replaced.
Customer Issue: Misaligned sensors.
Our Solution: As textbook cases go, this one was pretty straightforward. We immediately discovered that the alignment of the customer's safety sensors was incorrect, and this was what caused the door to reverse each time he tried to close it. After we repositioned the photo eyes, the door closed without a problem.
Garage Door Off Track
Customer Issue: Bent tracks.
Our Solution: We examined the rollers to see if any of them were worn or broken. Then we repaired the damage to the tracks, straighten them out and popped the rollers back in. After opening and closing the door several times to ensure everything was fine, we lubricated the hinges and the torsion spring, to keep the system's operation as efficient as possible.
Customer Issue: Garage door spring broke.
Our Solution: We quickly checked that no other part of the system was damaged during the incident. Then we continued by replacing the damaged spring and making sure that the new one had no problem supporting the weight of the door.
