Mrs. Kelly’s garage door wouldn’t close. Whenever she tried to close it, the door descended to the two-thirds point before reversing direction and opening again.
We tried turning off all the garage door’s control systems to see if a stuck button was the issue. It wasn’t, so next, we looked at the photo eye sensors. The red light was on, and the sensors were not pointed toward each other’s lenses. We unscrewed the rings holding the sensors in place and adjusted them back into vertical and horizontal alignment. After plugging the photo eye sensors back into the opener, we tested the door and found it opening and closing properly.
